What are the consequences of Fukushima?

Except the fact that the tsunami and the earthquake left some landscapes of desolation, imagine just that every single hour, tons and tons of radioactive water are rejected in the biggest Ocean of the Earth.

Hearing some reports from TEPCO stating Reactor #1 has had a full meltdown.  (Shortwave "Radio Australia" news - ABC News? at approx. 10:45 GMT).  It would appear they never were able to keep the rods fully covered with water.  Another quick search for news on the Internet showed another report today stating TEPCO has only been able to keep Reactor #1 half filled with water and the other half is disappearing.  However, TEPCO states the reactor is remaining cool (due to nitrogen?). Black gold and simple goods crisis

How will the situation evolve in Lybia ?
What will happen now Ben Laden is dead?
We cannot pronounce right now.

Imagine just that the big fear from the Coalition to see the price of the Oil, this black gold, rising day after day?

And what about an imminent crisis tomorrow?
Imagine that many countries that produce and export Oil decide tomorrow to double the price of the Black Gold? Can we expect that a reaction from the world economy could be underestimated ?

With the mass medias, every single citizen will run to the gas station to buy the last cheap liters of this smelly blood
A big phenomenon of panic could happen, leading all the Stock Exchange to a uncontrolled chain reaction. With the fear of no Oil anymore could some people think of the rarefaction of imported products. But it could get worse, as many casual products would not be delivered again : milk, bread, flour, meat…
The globalization of the economy led these simple goods to become far travelers. How much Oil does a piece of beef need?

Do you think some people could stay in margin of this mess? Could you survive without Oil?
